Terms and Conditions

Eligible Work

    Open to all artists. All fine arts media: painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, graphics, fiber. Artists may submit works either on-line or carry-in. All work must be less than 3 years old and original. Work must not have been previously shown with CAFA or the MMoA. Students entering works should be full-time college art students. All works must be priced or marked NFS. CAFA and/or the MMoA reserve the right to refuse to accept any work deemed inappropriate to the exhibit.

    Wall Pieces
    May not exceed 72” in length or width, must not exceed 35lbs and be appropriately prepared for hanging with screw eyes/D-rings and wire attached. Fixed hanging hardware without wire cannot be accepted. All hanging work must be securely fastened within its frame or other support. Glass and plexiglass is acceptable. Gallery wrapped canvases should be neatly finished on sides.

    Artists are requested to supply their own well-balanced bases and/or pedestals (white pedestals are available for use at the gallery). Standing and hung sculpture weight limit is 35lbs including the base or pedestal if permanently attached. The sculpture and base or pedestal together is limited to 78” in height and 32” in width. Wall hung sculpture may not extend over 18” from the wall. No sculpture shall have protruding surfaces capable of inflicting physical injury. We request sculptors weigh their work including the base or pedestal and list the weight on the entry form. All work is required to be easily moved.


    Accepted works will remain as placed by the MMoA and may not be removed or withdrawn before the close of the exhibition. CAFA retains the right to deny exhibiting any work that has been misrepresented through the online process. Jurors will consider the entire artwork represented, including the frame. Works not picked up on time will be subject to a storage fee of $5.00. Unclaimed work will be disposed of at the discretion of the MMoA. CAFA and MMoA assume the right to photograph any work for catalog or publicity purposes.

    All sales will be managed by MMoA. 60% of all sales go to the artist and a 40% commission will be retained for CAFA and MMoA expenses.

    We suggest that artists carry their own insurance. Neither CAFA or MMoA, nor anyone connected with the exhibit will be responsible for loss or damage however caused. The submission of works to the exhibition constitutes an agreement on the part of the artist or artist’s agent to these conditions.
