Artist Spotlight

Karen Israel

    Artist Statement:

  • "The line between my life and my art has become a distinction without a perceptible difference. My pastel paintings are representational in character but symbolism, abstraction, and pattern repetition are constantly in the frame whether I am looking at my daily life or a blank canvas. I enjoy painting a variety of subject matter. Consequently, I have a diverse body of work."
