Exhibition Dates: May 28 - July 17, 2010

Location: The Mystic Arts Center
9 Water Street, Mystic, Connecticut 06355, Open 11:00 - 5:00 daily & weekends

Eligibility: Open to all artists. One or two works may be submitted. All fine arts media: painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, graphics.
• Work must not have been previously shown at the CAFA or the Mystic Arts Center.
• Hung work may not exceed 72” (185 cm.) in length or width. Hung work must be appropriately prepared for hanging by having screw
eyes and wire attached and not exceed 50 lbs. (22.7 Kg). Fixed hanging hardware without wire cannot be accepted.
• Sculptors are requested to supply their own well-balanced bases or pedestals (white pedestals are available for use at the gallery). Standing and hung sculpture weight limit is 50 lbs. (22.7 Kg). If the base or pedestal is separated or removable from the sculpture, the base or pedestal weight limit is 40 lbs.(18 Kg.). If the base or pedestal is permanently attached to the sculpture, the weight limit for the integrated work is 50 lbs. (22.7 Kg). The sculpture and base or pedestal together is limited to 80” (203 cm) in height
and 35” (889mm) in width. Wall hung sculpture may not extend over 18” (46cm) from the wall. No sculpture shall have protruding surfaces capable of inflicting physical injury. We request sculptors to weigh their work including the base or pedestal and list the weight on the entry form. All work is required to be able to be moved.

Douglas Gillette
has earned numerous awards and honors for his finely-detailed drawing and painting style. Having mastered the technique of silverpoint, he is premier among only a few artists who work in this medium.


Diane Marinaro is an artist and teacher. Her works are semi-impressionistic and are mainly in acrylics and oils. She has a BFA from Yale University, and she studied at Columbia University and The Hartford Art School. Associated with Brick Gallery, Essex, CT. She has exhibited widely.
